WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR STARTING TULURA?
Eileen: Years of battling my own skin issues and utter frustration with the ingredients in the skin care products out there. Although it started selfishly, now it’s all about our customer. Providing the absolute best for each client, no compromises.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE WOMEN WHO ARE WANTING TO START THEIR OWN COMPANY?
FOCUS and COMMIT. There isn’t a perfect time. Just do it and you will learn along the way. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your community, you will need it!

Do your best, always.
WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED IN HIGH SCHOOL?
I was already in NY and finished high school via online correspondence. I had my diploma mailed to me. Before moving to NY, I was terrified and many people suggested otherwise. It’s okay to be different and its okay to go after your dreams. Don’t let other people’s fears dictate your future. Nobody will look out for you better than YOU.

Littering and rude behavior.
WHAT DO YOU WEAR THAT MAKES YOU FEEL STRONG?

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WITH A BROKEN HEART?
Whenever I’ve gone through painful situations, I’ve let myself be miserable, feel the pain, and cry it out, but not for too long. Pick yourself up and use that energy to strengthen yourself. Turn negative energy into a positive catapult for the next phase of your life. Rediscover your power. You’ve dodged a bullet! Bravo! I love this quote by Maya Angelou-“When people show you who they are, believe them.”
WHAT IS ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND?
Water, vitamins, homeoplasmine and a diffuser.
WHAT GIVES YOU GOOSE BUMPS?
Watching others succeed, it’s empowering and inspirational!
WHAT IS YOUR BAD DAY BACKUP PLAN?
Self-care, always. Get a massage, a facial, pedicure, treat yourself. When you’re feeling down or having a rough day it’s really important to take care of the mind, body and spirit. Be good to yourself.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?
Happiness.
BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED?
Your thoughts become reality and trust your instincts.

It’s very rare for me to forget to eat. I love food! Especially anything spicy.
WHAT DID YOUR 8-YEAR-OLD SELF LOVE DOING?
Riding my pink bicycle up and down the hills of Hannam in Seoul, South Korea. Picking apricots and building forts out of cardboard boxes. Playing on the monkey bars and swings, climbing trees and digging for rocks. I was outside all day.
WHAT 3 THINGS WOULD YOU GRAB IN A FIRE?
My family photos, essential oils and MacBook.
