#Beautyhacks: Turn Your Oil Cleanser Into a Mask
I’m very proud of our new Botanical Oil Cleanser. The all-natural cleanser is made up of a combination of natural oils and salicylic acid, which bind with and remove excess oils and impurities from your skin.
But it can also do a lot more.
One of my favorite ways to get the most out of an oil cleanser is to create an at-home, detoxifying mask. It’s a perfect, rewarding way to wind down from a busy day or enjoy a cozy night in. Plus, it will leave your skin feeling clean, healthy and happy.
To make the mask:
- Combine the cleanser with dry clay in a 1:1 ratio (we recommend 1 teaspoon of each)
- Mix well
- Apply to face and let sit for 30 minutes on average
- CHILL
- Wash off with water
It's that easy!
Note: If you have dry or sensitive skin, you should let sit for a shorter period of time, like 10 or 20 minutes.
Customize to skin condition
If you want to tailor the mask to a specific skin condition, you can add a teaspoon of:
- Rhassoul clay to moisturize and nourish (the one we use in the video)
- Bentonite clay to treat acne
- White Kaolin clay to comfort sensitive skin
To lock in the moisture and nourishment you’ve given your skin, I recommend following the mask with a serum you use regularly. Personally, I apply our Tulura Duo to my face immediately after rinsing the mask off.
If you or your friends try this out at home, please tag us to let us know, we’d love to hear from you and see how you’re adapting your mask.
